Travis Ford Enshrined In Kentucky High School Basketball Hall of Fame

ELIZABETHTOWN, Ky. – Oklahoma State basketball coach Travis Ford scored 2,676 points and dished out 677 assists as a prep star at Madisonville High School, and on Saturday he took his place alongside the greats of the state in the Kentucky High School Basketball Hall of Fame.
Ford was a three-time all-state selection (1989-89), and was named to the KHSAA All-Tournament team and Parade and McDonald's All-America teams as a senior at Madisonville in 1989.
He went on to star at Kentucky, where he set the single-game assists record (15), single-season 3-point field goals (101) and consecutive free throws made (50). Ford was a part of a magical run to the Final Four in 1993.
Ford begins his eighth season as the head coach at Oklahoma State this fall, and is entering the hall along with his former roommate at Kentucky, John Pelphrey, as well as Jeff Mullins, Dickie Prater, Ukari Figgs, Jerry Thruston, Mike Silliman, Jimmy Dan Conner, Bobby Rascoe, Winston Bennett, Jermaine Brown and Lillie Mason, as well as coaches Bill Trivette, Jock Sutherland, Ron Bevars and Earle Jones.
