Jeffrey Carroll Hit Five Of His Last Eight Three-Pointers Last Season
STILLWATER – Jeffrey Carroll ended his redshirt freshman season in impressive fashion, and its putting in the time this offseason to make an impact with the Cowboys next season.
Here are some of the more impressive highlights from the lengthy wing that will doubtlessly see more time on the Gallagher-Iba Arena floor in 2015-16.
• Turned in a memorable performance at Texas Tech with 12 points on 4-for-7 shooting from the field.
• His fourth three-pointer of the Texas Tech game was clutch - it turned a one-point OSU deficit into a two-point Cowboy advantage with just 18 seconds left in the game.
• Hit six of his last 11 (54.5 percent) shots – including five of his last eight (62.5 percent) attempts from 3-point.
• On the year, Carroll shot a respectable 29.8 percent from 3-point.
• Scored 13 points (5-of-7 shooting) and grabbed seven boards in the win over Oregon State.
• Also scored 12 points on 4-of-7 shooting from 3-point at TCU.
• Tallied four double-figure scoring performances last year after redshirting as a true freshman last year.
• Posted a double-double with 15 points and 11 boards in the win over Northwestern Oklahoma State.
• Led the Cowboys in rebounds, assists, steals and blocks in at least one game.
• Started nine straight games at one point of the season.
• Appeared in 22 games for the Cowboys, and averaged 3.9 points and 1.8 rebounds per game.
