Over the past four seasons, Liz Donohoe put her stamp on the Cowgirl basketball program. The Edmond, Okla., native started every game during her four years and finished her career as one of the most statistically productive players in program history.
She and fellow senior LaShawn Jones finished their careers with 89 wins, which ranks as the winningest four-year stretch in school history. During their time in Stillwater, the Cowgirls won a WNIT title and made three NCAA Championship appearances, including a run to the Sweet 16 in 2014.
Below is a snapshot of Donohoe's time in a Cowgirl uniform.
· Was a four-time honorable mention All-Big 12 selection.
· Earned third-team all-league honors from College Sports Madness as a junior and senior.
· Started all 133 games during her career, setting the school record for career starts and tying the program mark for games played.
· Finished her career with 1,688 career points, which ranks sixth on the school's all-time list, and her 838 career rebounds rank fifth.
· Became just the fourth player in school history to amass 1,600 points and 800 rebounds.
· Her 87.6 percent success rate from the free-throw line ranks first all time in school history and was second among active players nationally this past season.
· Had a string of 32 consecutive made free throws during her career, which marked the ninth run of 10 consecutive makes or more.
· Had a streak of 40 consecutive made free throws as a sophomore, which tied the school record.
· Finished her sophomore season ranked first in the Big 12 and eighth in the country in free-throw percentage at 91.1 percent.
· Her percentage broke the school's single-season record, which had stood since 1979-80.
· Was named a second-team Freshman All-American by Full Court.
· She was also chosen as the Big 12 Freshman of the Year and to the league's all-freshman team.
· Was named the Big 12 Freshman of the Week on five occasions.
· Tabbed as one of five candidates for the U.S. Basketball Writers Association's National Freshman of the Year award.
· Was selected to the all-tournament team at the Peppermill Holiday Classic.
· Was also named to the WNIT All-Tournament Team after leading the Cowgirls to the championship.
