Cowboys Fall to No. 2 Baylor

WACO, Texas -- No. 25 Oklahoma State men's tennis fell 4-0 to second-ranked Baylor in Waco, Texas on Sunday afternoon in a match that experienced two rain delays.
The match, which started at the Hurd Tennis Center, was decided in the Hawkins Indoor Tennis Center due to the rain.
The Cowboys (16-7, 0-4, Big 12) came out strong in the doubles portion as Nicolai Ferrigno and Lucas Gerch took down the 51st-ranked team of Tony Lupieri and Mate Zsiga in dominating fashion, 6-2.
The remaining two courts each went to a tiebreaker, but the Cowboy duos were outlasted, giving Baylor the one-point advantage entering singles play.
In singles, the Bears took wins on courts six, three and four respectively.
BU went up 2-0 as Felipe Rios defeated Cowboy freshman Jurence Mendoza, 6-1, 6-2, on court six.
No. 118 Arjun Kadhe, a sophomore for the Pokes, put up a close first set against 61st-ranked Max Tchoutakian but eventually fell, 7-5, 6-1.
Baylor clinched the match on court four, where Cowboy Lukas Finzelberg fell in two sets to Diego Galeano, 6-3, 6-4.
Play on courts one, two and five was unfinished.
The Cowboys finish up the regular season next weekend, taking on OU in Norman on Sunday at 1 p.m.
