What 2 Watch 4
The Cowgirls will open play at the Big 12 Championship on Saturday at 11 a.m. when they take on Iowa State in Dallas at the American Airlines Center.
The contest marks the second year in a row the fourth-seeded Cowgirls and No. 5 Cyclones have faced off in the second round.
OSU is 2-1 against Iowa State all time at the Big 12 Championship.
Brittney Martin has recorded double-doubles in her last two games at the Big 12 Championship and her 18 steals all time at the event are a program best.
A win would give OSU four consecutive 20-win seasons for the first time in program history.
A win would also mark the 89th over the last four years for OSU and would mark the winningest four-year stretch in program history, surpassing the 88 wins amassed from 2007-10.
OSU ranks 20th nationally in scoring defense (55.4 ppg), has held three of its last six opponents under 50 points and has not allowed more than 60 points in five of its last seven contests.
Liz Donohoe is slated to start her 131st consecutive game in a Cowgirl uniform.
Brittney Martin currently ranks sixth nationally among active players with her 2.6 steals per game and her 251 career steals rank 18th.
Of the 17 players ranked ahead of her on the career steals list, 15 are seniors and two are juniors.
Roddricka Patton has 53 assists over the past eight games after tallying 22 in her previous 21 games.
Know The Foe
Iowa State has won three of its last five, including a victory over league champion Baylor.
The Cyclones are led by unanimous All-Big 12 pick Nikki Moody, who is sixth in the league in scoring (14.4 ppg) and second in assists (6.9 apg).
OSU At The Big 12 Championship
OSU has an all-time mark of 13-18 at the event.
The Cowgirls have advanced to the semifinals the past two years and have made one trip to the championship game (2008).
Last Time Out
Monday's loss to Oklahoma was the final home game for OSU seniors Liz Donohoe and LaShawn Jones.
The loss snapped OSU's three-game home winning streak against the Sooners.
