Forte, Nash Named to All-District Team

STILLWATER - Oklahoma State men's basketball players Phil Forte and Le'Bryan Nash have been named members of the All-District VI team by the United States Basketball Writers Association, it was announced today. It is the first such honor for both players.
Dating back to 1988, Forte and Nash are the 20th and 21st Cowboys to be named to the USBWA All-District team, the most recent being Marcus Smart in 2014.
As a senior, Nash is leading the Cowboys in scoring with 16.8 points per game, ranking second among Big 12 scorers. The Dallas, Texas, native is collecting 5.4 boards per game while also adding two assists and one block per contest.
Junior Phil Forte has been a key contributor to the Cowboy lineup this season, averaging 15.5 points, 2.1 rebounds, 1.7 assists and 1.9 steals per game. Forte ranks among the top three in the Big 12 in several categories, including points per game, steals per game, three-point field goals made per game, three-point field goal attempts, free throws made and free throw percentage.
Forte, Nash and the rest of the Cowboys will take on Oklahoma in the second round of the 2014 Phillips 66 Big 12 Championship at the Sprint Center in Kansas City, Mo., on Thursday night at 8 p.m.
