The Sunday Wrap - Cowboys Beat Two Ranked Teams

STILLWATER- The Oklahoma State men's basketball team picked up a pair of wins over ranked opponents last week, scoring a 65-63 overtime win over No. 25 Texas in Austin on Wednesday before coming home to drop No. 8 Kansas by a 67-62 margin on Saturday.
Highlights from the win over Kansas:
Oklahoma State's win over Kansas...
► Was its fourth in its last six meetings with Kansas in Gallagher-Iba Arena. The last seven head-to-head meetings overall between the two teams have been decided by a grand total of three points, with Kansas holding a 499-496 edge.
► Marked the Cowboys' fourth over Kansas since Travis Ford took over as head coach in 2008-09. No team has beaten the Jayhawks more than three times during that span.
► Marked the 10th time that the Cowboys have beaten a team ranked in the top 10 of the Associated Press poll in six-plus years under Travis Ford. Among OSU head coaches, only Eddie Sutton (16 in 16 years as head coach) has more wins over top-10 opponents than Ford. Henry Iba won nine over top-10 teams in the 22 years during his tenure that the Associated Press ranked teams.
► Marked the Cowboys' second over a team ranked in the AP top 10, their fourth over a team ranked in the AP top 25, their fifth over a team with an RPI in the top 50 and their eighth over a team with an RPI in the top 100 this season.
► Marked the 19th time that OSU has beaten an opponent ranked in the top 25 of the Associated Press poll since Travis Ford took over as head coach in 2008-09.
► Improved the Cowboys to 11-2 in Gallagher-Iba Arena this season.
► Improved OSU to 93-16 in Gallagher-Iba Arena under Travis Ford.
Oklahoma State's win over Texas...
► Was the Cowboys' sixth in their last seven meetings with the Longhorns, dating back to 2012.
► Gave the Cowboys their second regular-season sweep over Texas in the last three seasons. OSU claimed both ends of the 2013 home-and-home series, claiming a 72-59 win in Austin and a 78-65 win in Stillwater that season.
► Marked the third straight season and the fourth in the last six under coach Travis Ford that OSU has beaten at least three teams ranked in the Associated Press top 25 in the same season.
► Was the third road win for OSU this year. The Cowboys previously beat Memphis in Memphis and beat Missouri in Kansas City in a game that the NCAA considers a home game for Mizzou.

Senior forward Le'Bryan Nash played a pivotal role in leading Oklahoma State to a pair of wins over ranked opponents last week. Nash scored a team-high 17 points and grabbed a team-best five rebounds to lift the Cowboys to a 65-63 win over No. 25 Texas in Austin on Wednesday. He scored six of OSU's nine points in the decisive overtime period against the Longhorns. On Saturday, Nash scored 12 of his game-high 18 points in the deciding second half to lift the Cowboys to a 67-62 win over No. 8 Kansas in Stillwater. As part of the win over the Jayhawks, Nash passed Hall-of-Famer Bob Kurland on OSU's career scoring list. His 1,679 career points are the most for any active player in the Big 12 and rank him sixth all-time at Oklahoma State.

Senior guard Anthony Hickey scored 15 points to play a central role in Oklahoma State's win over No. 25 Texas in Austin last Wednesday, then came back to score 15 more points in the Cowboys' win over No. 8 Kansas in Stillwater Saturday. Hickey added four steals against the Longhorns and two steals against the Jayhawks. In the two games combined, he drained five of his nine three-point attempts (.556 pct.)
