STILLWATER - Oklahoma State lost a 70-65 contest to No. 14 Iowa State on Wednesday and a 73-63 decision to No. 23 West Virginia on Saturday of last week.
The Cowboys moved to 17-10 overall and 7-8 in Big 12 play following those games.
Key Stats vs. Iowa State
► Led by center Jameel McKay, Iowa State dominated on the offensive glass. McKay hauled in nine of the Cyclones' 18 offensive rebounds in the game. ISU held a 21-6 advantage over OSU in second-chance points.
► The game was abnormal for Oklahoma State in that its two leading scorers - Le'Bryan Nash and Phil Forte - combined to go 7-for-24 from the field (.291 pct.), yet the Pokes hung around and hung around. The rest of the Cowboys combined to go 14-for-23 (.609 pct.) from the field.
► Oklahoma State held a four-point lead with 2:25 left until Iowa State closed out the game on a 9-0 run to win it.
Key Stats vs. West Virginia
► The game was won in the second half, where West Virginia outscored the Cowboys, 48-38. WVU shot .500 pct. from the field in the second half and forced OSU into committing seven turnovers after halftime.
► West Virginia outrebounded the Cowboys, 37-20, and held an 18-4 advantage on the offensive glass. Guard Gary Browne had five offensive rebounds. The Mountaineers entered the game leading the nation with 17.1 offensive rebounds per game.
► West Virginia made 10 of its 20 attempts from three-point range and point guard Juwan Staten went for 22 points and seven assists.

Michael Cobbins entered last week's games against No. 14 Iowa State and No. 23 West Virginia averaging 6.6 points and 5.6 rebounds per game, but averaged 10.0 points and 6.5 rebounds in his two games against the Cyclones and Mountaineers. He scored nine points and grabbed eight rebounds against Iowa State and followed that up with 11 points and five boards against West Virginia. Those two showings mark his two highest scoring outputs against Big 12 opposition this season.

Anthony Hickey averaged 11.5 points per game in OSU's two contests against Iowa State and West Virginia last week. He drained five of his eight attempts from three-point range in those two games (.615 pct.) Prior to last week, Hickey averaged 9.1 points per game on .345 pct. shooting from beyond the arc.
