Annan To Be Honored At Washburn Rural

TOPEKA, Kan. - Oklahoma State women's basketball staff member Bill Annan will be honored this Friday when he is inducted into the Washburn Rural High School Hall of Fame.
Annan, who is in his second year as the associate head coach for the Cowgirls, arrived at Washburn Rural in 1991 to teach business and serve as the head girls' basketball coach. During a tenure spanning from 1991-2009, he led the Lady Blues to a 303-109 mark and posted six 20-win campaigns.
Annan's teams won state titles in 1996, 1999 and 2009 and earned runner-up finishes in 1998 and 2004. Additionally, he directed Washburn Rural to 11 Centennial League titles. On three occasions, Annan was chosen as the Kansas Basketball Coaches Association Coach of the Year and was tabbed as the league's coach of the year seven times.
In 2009, Annan came to Stillwater to serve as OSU's director of player development before becoming an assistant coach in 2011 and moving into his current capacity in 2013.
The Washburn Rural High School Hall of Fame honors graduates and staff members who have excelled and achieved significant accomplishments. Nominations are accepted year round with selections being made in October.
