Next Day Minute: Post Passing Led To Win Over Tigers
November 07, 2015 | Cowboy Basketball
STILLWATER – The Oklahoma State coaching staff had a chance to look at the film from last night's exhibition win over East Central. Their take? The Cowboys are a better team when they share the ball – especially on the low block.
"One of the things we broke down on tape for our players was to show them how unselfish they were," said OSU head coach Travis Ford. "The passing out of the post, sharing the basketball, created easy shots for us. That is going to be a recipe for success for us all season."
OSU tallied just four points in the paint in the opening half, but went to the low block early and often in the second. The Cowboys scored 28 in the paint in the closing frame, and got 11 assists from forwards on the evening.
