Cowboy Duo Wins In Doubles Back Draw

TULSA – Oklahoma State's All-American duo Julian Cash/Arjun Kadhe claimed their first victory at the ITA All-American Championships on Friday in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
The Cowboy duo was looking to bounce back after a tough loss yesterday to SMU's Nate Lammons/Arkadijs Slobodkins in the first round of the main draw.
The loss yesterday put the Cowboys in the doubles back draw, as they were set to face Valparaiso's Charlie Emhardt/Jeffery Schorsch in the first round.
The first set was a good one, with the two duos splitting the first six games in the set. Cash/Kadhe fell behind later in the set, 6-5, but would square it up at six and take the tiebreaker to win the first set, 7-6(5).
The All-Americans kept their momentum going by winning six of the final seven games in the second set to defeat Schmitz/Schorsch, 7-6(5), 6-4.
Tomorrow, Cash/Kadhe will go to head-to-head with South Florida's Roberto Cid/Justin Roberts in the quarterfinals.
