First Intra-Squad Scrimmage Draws High Praise From Hoops Coaches

After a spirited week of work in Gallagher-Iba Arena, the Oklahoma State basketball team held its first intra-squad Orange vs. Black scrimmage on Sunday, and the head coach left happy.
Entering his eighth year with the program, Travis Ford spoke to the intensity of the scrimmage, and singled out the play of his freshmen – Jawun Evans and Davon Dillard.
Led by senior guard Phil Forte, a Preseason All-Big 12 Honorable Mention honoree, the Cowboys are one of 22 squads nationwide to make the NCAA Tournament in each of the last three seasons, and look to keep that streak alive.
The Cowboys have their first public exhibition game on Nov. 6 against East Central University, and open the season on Nov. 13 with UT Martin.
