Cowgirls Finish Seventh At Big 12 Championship

AUSTIN, Texas - Oklahoma State's women's golf team carded a 300 total during its third round at the Big 12 Championship on Sunday to finish in seventh place at the University of Texas Golf Club.
The Cowgirls wrapped up play with a 42-over total of 906 at the par-72, 6,370-yard layout. OSU was five shots off the pace of Texas Tech for sixth place. Oklahoma closed with a 278 during its third round to finish at 3-under 861 and 17 shots clear of the field.
Chirapat Jao-Javanil made it a clean sweep for the Sooners, carding a 68 to wrap up medalist honors with a 7-under 209 total.
OSU's Amy Ruengmateekhun earned her first top 10 of the year, tying for ninth place. The senior posted her second 75 in a row to finish at 4-over 220.
Sophomore Julie Yang tied for 15th place after carding her second consecutive 74 to finish with a 223 tally.
Senior Lauren Falley's 74 tied her for 24th place at 226, while freshman Isabella Deilert finished alone in 39th place after closing with a 77 for a 237 total.
The Cowgirls will serve as a regional host on May 8-10 at Karsten Creek. The NCAA Regional selections will be announced on Monday, April 28 at 5 p.m. (CST) during the Golf Channel's Golf Central show.
