Cowgirls Receive All-Big 12 Honors

IRVING, Texas - Oklahoma State's Tiffany Bias was one of 10 players named an All-Big 12 first-team selection it was announced today by the league office. The Cowgirl senior was also chosen as a member of the league's all-defensive team, making her the first OSU player to ever achieve the distinction.
A unanimous selection by the conference's head coaches, Bias currently ranks eighth among league players in scoring at 14.4 points per game and second in assists per contest (6.1 apg). Additionally, her 2.2 steals per game trail only teammate Brittney Martin among league players and she is fourth in the league in assist-turnover ratio.
Bias is averaging a conference-leading 36.5 minutes per game and has played all 40 minutes in 12 of the squad's 18 league games.
A second-team all-conference pick as a sophomore and junior, Bias became OSU's all-time assist leader earlier this year and her current total of 757 ranks fifth in Big 12 history. She also ranks 10th on the league's all-time steals chart with 287. Bias has moved into the top 10 on OSU's career charts in scoring, minutes played, games played and games started.
A native of Andover, Kan., Bias appeared on midseason watch lists for the Wade and Naismith trophies and made the finalist list for the Lieberman Award, which is given to the nation's top point guard. In December, she picked up her first career Big 12 Player of the Week honor after leading OSU to a pair of wins at the Puerto Rico Classic.
Martin, a sophomore from Syracuse, Utah, was named an honorable mention all-conference pick as was junior Liz Donohoe.
A Big 12 All-Freshman Team selection a year ago, Martin is averaging 11.7 points and 7.9 boards per game. Donohoe was tabbed as an honorable mention pick for the third year in a row after averaging 11.7 points and 6.4 points per game during the regular season.
Freshman Roshunda Johnson was one of five players named to the league's all-freshman team. The Little Rock, Ark., native is averaging 5.0 points and 2.6 rebounds per game. Her selection marks the third year in a row OSU has had a member of the all-freshman team, with Donohoe and Martin appearing on the squad the past two seasons.
