IRVING, Texas -
The No. 21 Oklahoma State men's tennis team has been selected fourth in the 2014 Big 12 men's tennis preseason coaches' poll, it was announced today.
With 11 points, the Cowboys (17-2) sit six points behind third-ranked Texas and 13 behind Oklahoma, who enters conference play as the league favorite for the second-consecutive year. TCU and Texas Tech trail the Cowboys with eight points apiece, tying the two squads for the poll's final spot.
OSU has opened the 2014 season with its best start in school history, marked by the team's 10-match winning streak to start the year and its upset win over No. 6 Tennessee on Jan. 31. The Cowboys have also reached as high as No. 15 in the ITA National Team Rankings, the squad's highest ranking since 2008.
Oklahoma State will open Big 12 play on Friday when it travels to No. 55 TCU for a 5:30 p.m. conference battle. For more updates and information, follow @CowboyTennis on Twitter.
