Cowgirls Jump to No. 23 in ITA Rankings

STILLWATER - Oklahoma State's women's tennis team jumped seven spots to No. 23 in the latest team rankings released by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association on Tuesday.
The Cowgirls' emergence into the ITA top 25 comes after the team's first two conference wins of the season over TCU and Texas Tech. The Cowgirls (8-5, 2-0 Big 12) defeated TCU, 5-2, at the Greenwood Tennis Center last Friday before edging Texas Tech in a thrilling 4-3 match on Sunday.
Viktoriya Lushkova made a rise in the ITA singles rankings this week, jumping 29 spots to No. 54. The freshman is coming off two big wins in the one spot last weekend, including a 6-0, 6-1 triumph over then No. 53 Stefanie Tan of TCU on Friday. Lushkova has notched 11-straight victories since her last loss on Jan. 17.
Lushkova and teammate Kanyapat Narattana remain in the ITA doubles rankings this week, coming in at No. 65.
The Cowgirls will travel to Lawrence, Kan., on Friday, March 28, to take on 47th-ranked Kansas at 3:30 p.m. Fans will be able to watch the match online at ESPN3.com.
