Game Information
Oklahoma State hosts Texas Tech on Saturday, Feb. 22, at 12:45 pm inside Gallagher-Iba Arena. The game will be televised on the Big 12 Network, with Brad Sham handling the play-by-play duties, Bryndon Manzer providing expert analysis and Shelley Smith serving as the sideline reporter. Texas Tech won the first meeting in Lubbock, 65-61, but OSU leads the overall series, 38-16.
Bob Kurland Day
As part of OSU's continuing celebration of the 75th anniversary of Gallagher-Iba Arena, Saturday's game will serve as Bob Kurland Day, recognizing the greatest player to ever wear a Cowboy uniform.
The 7-0 Kurland was a pioneering big man, one of the first to take on the sport. The date is particularly significant in the OSU record book, as it is the exact date (Feb. 22, 1946) — 68 years earlier — that Kurland scored a school-record 58 points against St. Louis inside then Gallagher Hall.
Kurland, who passed away on Sept. 30, 2013, will be represented by his wife, Barbara; sons, Rocky and Alex; a daughter, Dana, and several other family members.
