Offensive Lineman Daniel Koenig
On his favorite memory at OSU thus far
“My favorite memory was this past year playing against Baylor. That was pretty special for me, because the next day I got the MVP award for the offense, for the team. That's a pretty special moment.”
On who has had the biggest impact on his football career
“Both of my brothers, Doug and David; my father, Bob Koenig; and my coaches have had the biggest impact on me. Talking to them and seeing what I should do better, they helped me with things like that. Dad has always been there for me and talked with me about issues that have come up – things like that.”
On his summer plans
“In May I will be driving home and spending May back home in Florida. Hopefully my girlfriend will have time to fly up and hang out with me for a week. I'll drive back and start school and summer workouts. Not too big of plans, but that's what I usually do. It's what I've been doing for the past four years.”
On what he misses most about Florida
“The sun. Fishing for sure, I love fishing down there – saltwater fishing. It is inshore fishing. I don't do very much offshore fishing. I have, but it's usually inshore around islands and the river and stuff like that. Passes, they're called passes, it's like open water between the islands.”
On his goals for the offseason heading into next year
“My goals would be getting stronger, faster, getting my technique down. You know, pass setting and run blocking technique. That's about it really. Those are my goals, getting stronger, faster and technique.”
