Cowboy and Cowgirl Tennis Set for Fall Finales

STILLWATER – The Oklahoma State men's and women's tennis teams wrap up their fall seasons this weekend in Florida and New York.
Cowgirls Viktoriya Lushkova and Kelsey Laurente head to New York City for the USTA/ITA National Indoor Intercollegiate Championships, which will be held at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Flushing Meadows on Nov. 6-9. The two Cowgirls advanced to the championships after winning their respective events at the ITA Central Region Championships in October.
Lushkova and Laurente, the Central Region's doubles champions, will team up for the doubles portion of the tournament, where they will start off the event facing Cassie Mercer and Skylar Morton of Virginia on Thursday at 12 p.m. CT.
Lushkova, OSU's second-consecutive Central Region singles champion, will enter the singles bracket seeded eighth and will take on Utah State's McKenzie Davis at 8 a.m. on Thursday.

Heading to Lakewood Ranch, Fla., this weekend for the Dickie V Clay Court Classic are selected members of the OSU men's and women's teams.
The tournament runs from Nov. 7-9 and will feature men's and women's singles and doubles brackets.
Representing the Cowboys will be Nicolai Ferrigno and Jurence Mendoza. The Pokes will each compete in singles as well as join together for the doubles bracket.
For the Cowgirls, junior Maria Alvarez, sophomores Katarina Adamovic and Carla Tur Mari, and freshman Vladica Babic will all compete in the singles and doubles brackets.
Alvarez and Tur Mari will make up one OSU doubles team, while Adamovic and Babic will make up the other.
