Oklahoma State's women's basketball team will tip off its 2014-15 campaign with the first of two exhibitions on Tuesday night when it hosts Southwestern Oklahoma State at 7 p.m. inside Gallagher-Iba Arena.
The Cowgirls won both of their exhibition contests last season, knocking off in-state schools Northeastern State (84-47) and East Central (87-56).
OSU carries a 16-game winning streak in exhibition play into Tuesday's contest.
The Cowgirls' last exhibition loss came on Nov. 14, 2003 against Northwest Sports.
OSU is 3-0 in exhibition play under the direction of head coach Jim Littell.
Sophomore Brittany Atkins will miss OSU's two exhibitions as well as the squad's first two regular-season contests while serving a suspension for violation of team rules.
The contest could mark the first action for five newcomers. OSU has a pair of junior college transfers in Roddricka Patton and Rylie Swanson as well as three freshmen; Mandy Coleman, Kaylee Jensen and Sydney Walton.

The Lady Bulldogs are beginning their sixth season under the direction of head coach Kelsi Musick.
