About Oklahoma State
Oklahoma State enters the 2014-15 season with just one official returning starter, but four players with extensive experience at the Division I level. While Le'Bryan Nash is the only player returning from last season with at least 15 starts (he started all 34), Michael Cobbins has 55 starts in his career as a Cowboy and Phil Forte has 12. Anthony Hickey, a transfer from LSU, has started 85 games in his three-year career.
OSU was 21-13 a year ago and is coming off back-to-back NCAA Tournament appearances. The Cowboys averaged 80.2 points per game as a team last year, the fifth-highest in school history and third among all Big 12 teams last season. OSU led the Big 12 in scoring average, outscoring its opponents by an average of 10.7 ppg. The Cowboys were second in three-point defense, allowing just 32.7 percent shooting from long range. Oklahoma State led the league in both steals (7.65 spg) and turnover margin (+3.76). Expect the Cowboys to play up-tempo offense and aggressive defense in 2014-15.

Southeastern Louisiana went 12-18 last season, including a 7-11 mark in Southland Conference play. The Lions return just two starters and two other lettermen from a season ago. They are predicted to finish seventh in the 13-team Southland according to the coaches preseason poll.
Returning for SLU are senior forward DeVonte Upson (8.3 ppg, 6.1 rpg in 2013-14) and sophomore guard Joshua Filmore (6.9 ppg, 2.9 apg), both starters a year ago. Also back are senior guard JaMichael Hawkins (12.3 ppg, 2.6 rpg) and senior forward Onochie Ochie (8.4 ppg, 4.6 rpg). The Lions also picked up Cedric Jenkins, a transfer from Southern Miss, who will be eligible immediately. He played in 35 games for the Golden Eagles in 2012-13 before redshirting last season due to injury.
The Lions are under the direction of first-year head coach Jay Ladner. He was 45-13 in two seasons at Jones County Community College, including an NJCAA Division I National Championship in 2013-14, before taking the job at SLU.
