Two Cowgirls Advance At LPGA Qualifying Tournament

A pair of players with Oklahoma State ties advanced at the LPGA Stage II Qualifying Tournament earlier this week at Plantation Golf and Country Club in Venice, Fla.
Julie Yang, who is currently a junior for the Cowgirls, and Jayde Panos, a senior for OSU last year, both advanced to the qualifying tournament's final stage. That event will take place Dec. 3-7 at LPGA International Golf Course.
The duo tied for 41st place at 2-over 290 to finish among the top 80, which all move on. Yang carded rounds of 78, 74, 68 and 70, while Panos posted scored of 77, 68, 70 and 75 to advance.
Former Cowgirl Amy Ruengmateekhun also took part in the event, finishing tied for 143rd place at 302.
