TULSA, Okla. – Oklahoma State's third-ranked tennis duo of Jakob Sude and Arjun Kadhe advanced to the semifinals of the ITA All-American Championships in Tulsa on Saturday.
The No. 3 Cowboys went head-to-head with No. 27 Lawson and Pecor of Notre Dame. Sude and Kadhe dominated the match, finishing it in two sets, 6-1, 6-4.
“Arjun and Jakob played a clean match from start to finish today,” coach Jay Udwadia said. “They are moving well together and playing with great confidence. We'll stay relaxed and be ready to go again tomorrow.”
The win marks the first time since 2009 that an OSU doubles team has made it to the semifinals of the event. The last pair to do so was Aleksey Bessonov and Oleksandr Nedovyesov.
The Pokes will take on No.1 Hunter Reese and Mikelis Libietis of Tennessee in Sunday's semifinals.
