Cowboys Attend Big 12 Media Day
October 15, 2014 | Cowboy Basketball
Three members of the Oklahoma State men's basketball team, along with coach Travis Ford, spent most of Wednesday at the Sprint Center in Kansas City for Big 12 Media Day. Seniors Le'Bryan Nash and Michael Cobbins, along with junior Phil Forte, entertained questions as well as the media throughout the day.
The morning began with Coach Ford and Cobbins doing interviews with the Big 12 Digital Network. Coach Ford then spent 10 minutes on the dais with the general media before visiting with former Cowboy Bryndon Manzer for Big 12 This Week.
After Coach Ford finished with B12TW, all three players also interviewed with Manzer. Coach Ford did a brief interview with Fran Fraschilla for ESPNU before he and Cobbins hopped on with SiriusXM Radio while Nash interviewed with Fraschilla.
Cobbins then did another interview with Wendell Barnhouse for the Big 12 website while Nash and Forte knocked out some radio interviews. Coach Ford sat down with ESPN for a 20-minute interview, followed by all three players doing the same.
It was then on to the 1-on-1 interview area, where all 10 head coaches sit in a large semi-circle on one end of the Sprint Center court, while interviewers move from table to table. The players then did the same.
All in all, it was a early morning and an exhausting day for both the players and Coach Ford, but it was all worth it to help out the media.
