Oklahoma State is home on Wednesday as the Cowboys host the TCU Horned Frogs on Jan. 15 at 7 pm inside Gallagher-Iba Arena. The game will be televised on the Big 12 Network with Mitch Holthus handling the play-by-play duties and Reid Gettys providing color commentary. The Cowboys are 19-2 all-time against TCU, including a 5-1 mark in Stillwater and a 3-0 record in Gallagher-Iba Arena.

The ninth-ranked Oklahoma State Cowboys are 14-2 this season following a 73-72 victory at West Virginia on Saturday. OSU is averaging 85 points per game this season with four players averaging double figures. Marcus Smart leads the scoring attack with 17.8 ppg, among the leaders in the Big 12 Conference. Markel Brown is also among the league leaders, averaging 16.8 ppg, while Le'Bryan Nash (13.5 ppg) and Phil Forte (12.3 ppg) are both also averaging double figures.
OSU is shooting 49.1% from the floor, including 38% from beyond the arc. The Cowboys have a scoring margin of 19.5 points per game, leading the league. They also have a league-leading +4.3 turnover margin. OSU's defense has allowed more than 75 points just once this season, giving up 65.5 ppg, 38.1% FG defense and 29.4% 3-point FG defense.
About TCU
TCU is 9-6 overall this season and 0-3 in Big 12 action following an 88-62 loss at Baylor on Saturday. The Horned Frogs also lost their first two league games at home, 74-69 vs West Virginia and 65-47 vs Kansas State. TCU is led by Kyan Anderson who is averaging 15.6 points and 5.0 assists per game. Amric Fields is scoring 13.9 ppg with 5.3 rebounds per contest. Brandon Parrish (11.1 ppg) and Jarvis Ray (10.7 ppg) are also averaging double figures.
As a team, TCU is averaging 68.1 ppg with a +0.3 scoring margin. The Horned Frogs are shooting 43.3% from the floor, including 34.1% from long range. They are ranked fourth in the league in both scoring defense (67.7 ppg) and FT percentage (71.1%). Trent Johnson is 20-27 in his second season as head coach at TCU.
Series History vs TCU
Oklahoma State leads the all-time series with TCU 19-2, including a sweep of last season's two games. The series started in 1918, and for a brief two-year stint, the teams were both part of the Southwest Conference (1923-25). The Cowboys are 8-0 vs TCU since losing to the Horned Frogs in the 1986 All-College Tournament in Oklahoma City. OSU is 5-1 at home vs TCU, including a 3-0 mark inside Gallagher-Iba Arena.
Last Season vs the Horned Frogs
Oklahoma State swept the two-game series from TCU last season. The Cowboys shot 53.6 percent from the floor in the two games, but just 4 of 18 (22.2%) from beyond the arc. OSU also connected on 19 of 26 shots from the line vs TCU, good for 73.1%.
Defensively, Oklahoma State limited the Horned Frogs to just 31.4% shooting from the floor, although they did connect on 10 of 27 (37%) from 3-point range. OSU allowed just 46 ppg by TCU, although the Cowboys did commit more turnovers (36-35).
In the first game in Stillwater, Markel Brown and Marcus Smart combined for 28 points on 10 of 16 shooting from the floor and 7 of 9 makes from the free-throw line. They also combined for eight assists and eight steals but also seven turnovers. In fact, OSU's five starters had 22 of the team's 24 turnovers. However, the Cowboys out-rebounded TCU 40-17, the fewest rebounds allowed by an OSU squad since limiting the Horned Frogs to just 14 on Dec. 22, 1992.
In Fort Worth, Le'Bryan Nash went off for 28 points on 12 of 16 shooting, and the Cowboy defense limited TCU to just 27.3% shooting and 47 points in a 64-47 victory. The Horned Frogs had a +27 rebounding differential from the previous game, outboarding OSU 34-30. However, OSU shot 55.1 percent from the field and secured the win despite no other player in double figures.

Oklahoma State travels to Lawrence, Kan., to face the Kansas Jayhawks on Saturday, Jan. 18, at 3 pm in a game televised by CBS.
