Cowgirls Remain In 22nd At NCAA Championship

ATHENS, Ga. - Oklahoma State's women's golf team tallied a 300 during its second round at the NCAA Championship on Wednesday to hold its spot on the leaderboard, standing in 22nd place at the University of Georgia Golf Course.
The second round of play was delayed for two hours due to weather during afternoon play, leaving six teams unable to finish their rounds. Round two will resume at 7:25 a.m. with tee times for the third round slated to begin at 7:33 a.m.
OSU has a 36-hole total of 603, 27-over, and is one shot behind Mississippi State at the par-72, 6,372-yard layout. Southern California distanced itself from the field with a 276 during its second round to stand at 16-under 560 and 12 strokes clear of the field.
Alabama's Stephanie Meadow posted a 67 to come in atop the individual standings at 8-under 136.
Cowgirl freshman Julie Yang finished the day tied for 28th place at 2-over 146 after carding an even-par 72. Yang's round consisted of a pair of birdies on her outward nine as well as one on her inward nine en route to the squad's low score through two rounds.
Junior Jayde Panos followed an opening 75 with a 74 to come in tied for 57th place at 149.
Junior Josephine Janson's 74 put her in a tie for 89th place at 152, while senior Kelsey Vines finished in a tie for 110th at 156 after posting an 80.
Junior Lauren Falley also posted an 80 to come in tied for 120th at 158.
