STILLWATER, Okla. -
Three members of Oklahoma State's men's tennis team were named to the 2013 Academic All-Big 12 Men's Tennis Team, the conference announced on Tuesday.
Trevor Horstmann (accounting) and Chris Haworth (undeclared) were named to the Academic All-Big 12 first team, while Rifat Biktyakov (Russian language and literature) was named to the second team.
Horstmann earned a perfect 4.00 GPA for the second consecutive year, and was one of only two Big 12 members to achieve the award. Biktyakov was also honored in 2012.
To achieve first team status, players must have a 3.20 GPA or above and participate in at least 60 percent of the team's scheduled matches. Those who achieve between a 3.00 and 3.19 GPA are named to the second team.
