Cowgirls Fall to No. 25 Tulsa

STILLWATER - The Oklahoma State softball team fell to No. 25 Tulsa 8-2 here Wednesday night at Cowgirl Stadium.
Tulsa got on the board first in the top of the third inning, scoring four runs on four hits. The inning was capped off by Haley Henshaw's two-run triple down the right field line.
The Cowgirls cut the lead in half in the bottom of the fifth when freshman Erika Campbell singled to lead off the inning and a batter later, senior Amy Graham hit a two-run home run, her fifth of the season, to left field to make the score 4-2.
Tulsa (34-13-1) got both runs back in the top of the next frame to make the score 6-2. An inning later, TU added two more runs to take an 8-2 lead. The Golden Hurricane held the Cowgirls' offense in check for the final two innings for the victory.
Senior Kat Espinosa (15-15) went seven innings in the circle, allowing eight runs on 11 hits while striking out three.
The Cowgirls (26-22) will travel to Wichita, Kan., on Thursday to take on Wichita State in a doubleheader starting at 5 p.m. The games were scheduled earlier in the year, but were postponed due to weather.
