STILLWATER – The Big 12 Conference announced its Spring Academic Honors Lists on Tuesday, with 21 members of the Oklahoma State softball team earning selections.
Kaya Booker, RyLee Crandall, Rosie Davis, Karli Godwin, Macy Graf, Amanda Hasler, Madison Hoffman, Jayden Jones, Lexi McDonald, Ruby Meylan, Aubrey Schneidmiller, Claire Timm, Tia Warsop and Melina Wilkison each earned Academic All-Big 12 recognition. Graf, Hasler and McDonald earned distinction with a 4.0 GPA.
Schneidmiller's selection marked the fourth of her career, while McDonald and Timm each earned their third. Davis, Godwin, Graf and Warsop have now received the recognition twice.
Oklahoma State's 14 Academic All-Big 12 selections are the second-most in program history, trailing only its record of 15 in 2021. OSU has now accounted for double-digit Academic All-Big 12 honorees 10 times in 11 seasons under head coach Kenny Gajewski.
To be eligible for selection, student-athletes must maintain a 3.20 GPA or higher, either cumulative or over the two previous semesters, and must have participated in 20% of their team's scheduled contests.
Freshmen Jayelle Austin, Gabby Castillo, Montgomery Henderson, Libby Jaques, Aubrey Jones, Elle McCloskey and Makala Smith each earned selections to the Academic All-Big 12 Rookie Team. Henderson earned distinction with a 4.0 GPA.
To be eligible for selection to the Rookie Team, student-athletes must be incoming freshmen who have completed 24 semester hours of non-remedial coursework and achieved a cumulative GPA of at least 3.00.
Karli Godwin, Madison Hoffman and Tia Warsop also earned the Dr. Gerald Lage Award, which requires student-athletes to have lettered at least once in their career while maintaining residence at their institution for at least one academic year. Recipients can only be recognized once, and must have 90 hours of earned credit with a cumulative grade-point average of 3.80 at the time of their nomination.
The award is in memory of Lage, who served as the Oklahoma State faculty athletics representative with the NCAA and the Big Eight/Big 12 Conference from 1983 until his death in 2007.
