STILLWATER, Okla. - Oklahoma State's women's basketball team has announced the addition of Courtney Chelf, who signed a National Letter of Intent this week and will join the program for the 2013-14 campaign.
"Courtney is an outstanding shooter who shoots the three very well," OSU head coach Jim Littell said. "We know she has a very strong work ethic and will be a positive addition to our basketball program."
As a senior at Enid High School, Chelf averaged 18.0 points and 5.4 rebounds per game en route to earning all-state honors from the Oklahoma Coaches Association and the Oklahoma Girls Basketball Coaches Association. Additionally, she averaged 2.3 steals and 2.1 assists per contest for the Pacers.
A four-year starter on the hardwood, Chelf also starred as a member of the EHS softball squad. She hit .455 as a senior with 14 home runs and 56 RBIs while earning all-state honors this past year.
Chelf is the sister of current OSU quarterback, Clint, and former Cowboy wide receiver, Colton. Her father, Randy, also played football at OSU.
She will join Lakota Beatty (Anadarko, Okla.), Brianne Coffman (Jarrell, Texas), Roshunda Johnson (Little Rock, Ark.), Katelyn Loecker (McPherson, Kan.), Diana Omozee (Pflugerville, Texas) and Marisha Wallace (Midwest City, Okla.) in the Cowgirls' incoming class.
