San Jose, Calif. - One of the first teams on the NCAA podium in San Jose on Wednesday was the Oregon Ducks. The winners of the Pac-12 Tournament and Oklahoma State's second round opponent in the NCAA Tournament, Oregon is ready for the next step in the postseason.
The Ducks enter the game as a bit of an eyebrow-raising 12 seed.
"I don't think we thought about the seeds, the Ducks' E.J. Singler said. "We were just excited to be in the tournament. Everyone we play is going to be a good team."
"We really haven't seen a lot of tape on Oklahoma State yet. They run a lot of plays like California," he added.
"This is the first time (first NCAA Tournament) for a lot of us. We're excited. We just need to go out and play like we did in the Pac-12 Tournament."
A hot topic from the media was OSU guard Marcus Smart.
"Obviously he's an unbelievable talent," Singler said. "He has great size as a point guard. He's a match-up problem because of how big and strong he is."
