STILLWATER, Okla. - Oklahoma State's women's basketball team will honor the lives of former Cowgirl head coach Kurt Budke, assistant coach Miranda Serna and Olin and Paula Branstetter this Saturday, Nov. 16 prior to OSU's contest against Northern Colorado. Tip time for the game is scheduled for noon inside Gallagher-Iba Arena.
The four individuals, who lost their lives in a plane crash in Arkansas on Nov. 17, 2011, will be honored in several ways.
The East Lobby of the OSU Athletics Center will serve as a display area for photos and any memorials given by the OSU family. The arena will be open on Friday for those wanting to visit the lobby and will also be open on gameday at 11 a.m. Prior to the game, fans will be asked to stand and cheer in lieu of a moment of silence.
On Tuesday, Dec. 3 at 7 p.m., the OSU Student Government Association will light four wreaths during the Fanfare of Lights holiday gathering at the Chi-O Clock located just north of the Student Union. Additionally, a message will be read at the lighting in honor of the four.
