Cowboys No. 12 in Preseason Coaches Poll

Oklahoma State's Cowboy Basketball team is ranked preseason No. 12 according to the USA Today Coaches Poll, it was announced today. It's the highest preseason ranking for OSU since the 2004-05 season when the Cowboys were preseason No. 8.
Two of Oklahoma State's opponents this season are in the top 25 with Kansas coming in at No. 6 and Memphis ranked 13th. Five other OSU opponents received votes in the initial poll, with Baylor accumulating what would be the equivalent of 26th place, while Colorado ranked 27th, Kansas State 41st, and LSU and Iowa State were tied for 42nd.
The Cowboys open the 2013-14 season on Sunday, Oct. 27, when the Pokes host Campbellsville (Ky) in an exhibition contest starting at 2 pm.
