Two Cowboys named ITA Scholar-Athletes

Stillwater, Okla. - Two members of Oklahoma State's men's tennis team, Vlad Bondarenko and Trevor Horstmann, were named by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association to the 2012 All-Academic Team. Also, the cowboys qualified as a 2012 All-Academic Team with a cumulative GPA of 3.38.
Bondarenko, who majored in international studies, graduated from OSU last spring. He maintained a 4.0 GPA last year. Horstmann, a senior majoring in accounting, also finished last school year with a 4.0 GPA.
In order to qualify as an ITA Scholar-Athlete a player must complete three requirements. They must be a varsity letter winner, have a GPA of at least 3.50 (on a 4.00 scale) and have been enrolled at their current school for at least two semesters. The ITA All-Academic Team award is given to any ITA program with a cumulative GPA of 3.20 or above. Players must have competed in one or more varsity matches to qualify into the cumulative team GPA.
