2012-13 Cowboy Basketball Schedule
Stillwater, Okla. -- Back-to-back home games against conference rivals Oklahoma and Kansas highlight the 2012-13 Big 12 Conference schedule for Oklahoma State, announced today by the league office. The Cowboys will play nine league home contests, including vs newcomers TCU and West Virginia.
OSU opens the conference portion of its schedule by traveling to Manhattan, Kan., to face Kansas State on Sat., Jan. 5. The Cowboys will host TCU on Wed., Jan. 9, and travel to Norman for Bedlam, part one on Sat., Jan. 12, before an open date. OSU will host Texas Tech on Sat., Jan. 19, in the first of five league home games televised nationally, this one on ESPN2.
Oklahoma State will have a quick turnaround, traveling to Waco, Texas, and an early afternoon Big Monday matchup with the Baylor Bears on Jan. 21. Then, it's back-to-back home games against West Virginia on Jan. 26 and Iowa State on Jan. 30. The Cowboys travel to Lawrence, Kan., and a game with the Kansas Jayhawks on Feb. 2, then return home to host Baylor on Feb. 6 in a game televised by ESPN2.
OSU will make back-to-back road trips to Austin (vs Texas on Feb. 9) and Lubbock (vs Texas Tech on Feb. 13), before round two of Bedlam sets its sights on Stillwater on Feb. 16. Oklahoma State will host Kansas on Feb. 20 in another ESPN2 contest.
The Cowboys go on the road for back-to-back games once again in late February, traveling to two places they have rarely gone. OSU will play West Virginia in Morgantown on Sat., Feb. 23, then travel to Fort Worth to take on TCU on Wed., Feb. 27.
Oklahoma State will host Texas on Sat., March 2, in the penultimate home game, which will be televised on ESPN. The Cowboys will travel to Ames, Iowa, to take on Iowa State on March 6, before wrapping up the regular season on Sat., March 9, hosting Kansas State.
