Stillwater, Okla. — Oklahoma State's Cowboy Basketball team will play Baylor as part of an ESPN Big Monday doubleheader on Martin Luther King, Jr., Day. Tipoff for the game in Waco on Jan. 21 is set for 4:30 pm.
The Cowboys have played at least one Big Monday game in each of the past 10 seasons and in 19 of the last 20 schedules. OSU is 18-19 all-time in Big Monday contests. This will mark the first time the Cowboys will play a team other than Oklahoma, Kansas or Texas in a Big Monday game since 2003 when Oklahoma State hosted Texas Tech.
The Big 12 has been ranked among the top three conferences in RPI each of the past five seasons - the only league that can make that claim. In addition, the Big 12 boasts the nation's best winning percentage in NCAA Tournament competition over the past five years. The full composite conference schedule, including games on CBS, ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, ESPN3, Big 12 Network and ESPN's College GameDay, will be released in the coming weeks.
