Jocelyn Alford Victorious At Alberta Amateur

ST. ALBERT, Alberta - Former Oklahoma State women's golf standout Jocelyn Alford closed with a 76 on Friday for a one-shot victory at the Alberta Ladies Amateur at Sturgeon Valley Golf and Country Club.
Alford entered the fourth round with a five-shot advantage at the par-72, 5,850-yard layout. She took a one-shot lead to the 18th hole where she made par to hold off Jennifer Ha by a shot.
A senior for the Cowgirls this past season, Alford opened the event with a course-record 67 and followed with rounds of 72 and 73. Her four-over score during the final round gave her an even-par total of 288.
Alford was also one of three players named to Team Alberta, which will compete in the 2012 Royale Cup Canadian Women's Amateur Championship starting July 24th.
