In the first game, ISU took a 2-0 lead in the top of the second on a two-run home run by Javen Smith. Sara Davison increased the Cyclones' lead to 3-0 when she led off the third with a solo home run.

OSU tied the game in the bottom half of the frame when with one out, Shelby Davis hit a single to right field and stole second. She scored on Anchors' base hit through the right side of the infield.
