Cowgirls Tied For 12th at Ping/ASU Invitational

TEMPE, Ariz. - Oklahoma State's women's golf team posted a 297 during its second round at the Ping/ASU Invitational to move into a tie for 12th place at Karsten Golf Course.
The Cowgirls' 25-over total knotted them with New Mexico at the par-71, 6,121-yard layout. UCLA fired a 3-under 281 during its second round to stand at 3-under 565 and nine shots clear of the field.
UCLA's Tiffany Lua fired a 69 to stand at 137 and one shot clear of the field in the individual race.
OSU junior Kelsey Vines moved from a tie for 13th into a tie for fourth place after posting a 1-under 70 to stand at 1-under 141.
Sophomore Amy Ruengmateekhun matched Vines for the squad's low round of the day with a 70 of her own to finish at 145 and tied for 23rd place.
Senior Jocelyn Alford posted a 76 for a 148 total to stand in a tie for 43rd place, while sophomore Josephine Janson's 81 gave her a 159 total and sole possession of 87th place.
Sophomore Jayde Panos rounded out the starting five with an 82 to come in with a 161 total and tied for 88th place.
The Cowgirls will begin their final round at 8:10 a.m. (PST) and will be grouped with Vanderbilt and Washington.
