STILLWATER, Okla. – The Oklahoma State men's tennis team returns to action on Thursday when it takes on No. 52 Purdue at noon at the Hilton San Diego Mission Valley Spring Classic, hosted by the University of San Diego and San Diego State University.
The Cowboys are 4-5 on the year and are coming off of a 1-2 performance in the HEB Tournament of Champions on March 2 and 3. OSU opened the tournament with a win over DePaul, but fell to Louisiana-Lafayette and Texas A&M-Corpus Christi.
The Cowboys are lead by senior Eric West's unblemished 7-0 record in singles competition. Freshman Chris Haworth has also been impressive in his first year, boasting a 7-2 singles record.
Purdue is 5-4 this season, but is coming off of a 7-0 defeat at the hands of No. 38 Baylor on March 12 in Los Angeles.
The Cowboys and Boilermakers have met once previously in 2004 when OSU pulled off a 7-0 victory in Stillwater.
