Oklahoma State's Keiton Page has been named the Big 12 Conference's Player of the Week, it was announced today by the league office. It is his first such honor.
The Cowboy senior averaged 31.5 points in two games last week. He scored a game-high 23 points at No. 3 Missouri, connecting on 5-of-9 shots from long range. He followed that up with a career performance against Texas, scoring a career-high 40 points in a 90-78 victory over the Longhorns.
In that game, he converted 8-of-14 (.571) from the floor, including 4-of-8 from 3-point range. The point total tied for the highest by a Cowboy player in a game in Big 12 history. Page also connected on 20-of-20 free throws, setting a Big 12 record for most free throws without a miss. The 20 made free throws also matched the conference record.
For the week, he shot 54.8 percent from the field and 52.9 percent from beyond the arc with zero turnovers in 73 minutes of action.
Page and the Cowboys will travel to Norman, Okla., this Wednesday for a Bedlam battle with the Oklahoma Sooners. Tipoff is set for 7 pm.
