Liz Donohoe Grabs Weekly Honor

IRVING, Texas - For the third time this season, Oklahoma State's Liz Donohoe has been named the Big 12 Freshman of the Week by a media voting panel for games from Jan. 2-8.

Donohoe set her career high with 11 rebounds in Oklahoma State's conference opener at Texas Tech on Wednesday.

The Edmond, Okla., native passed the mark on Saturday with a game-high 13 boards in OSU's upset victory over No. 23/25 Texas. The win was OSU's first over a ranked opponent since defeating No. 14 Iowa State on March 12, 2010.

In the win against the Longhorns, Donohoe logged her second career double-double as well. In addition to her 13 rebounds she added 13 points, three assists and two steals. She averaged 10 points and 12 rebounds for the week.

Donohoe and the Cowgirls will be back in action on Wednesday when they travel to Waco, Texas to take on top-ranked Baylor.
