IRVING, Texas - For the second week in a row and the fourth time this season, Oklahoma State's Liz Donohoe has been named the Big 12 Freshman of the Week as selected by a media voting panel for games from Jan. 9-15.
In two games last week, Donohoe averaged 16.5 points and 6.5 rebounds for the Cowgirls. In OSU's loss at top-ranked Baylor, she scored 19 points and grabbed eight rebounds.
Donohoe closed the week by helping the Cowgirls snap an eight-game losing streak against in-state rival Oklahoma on Saturday. In the victory, the Edmond, Okla., native scored 14 points and pulled eight boards. She also recorded a pair of key blocks in the game's closing minutes to help seal the victory.
The 6-0 forward was previously named the league's top freshman on Dec. 5, Dec. 27 and Jan. 9.
Donohoe and the Cowgirls will be back in action on Wednesday night at 7 p.m. when they host Kansas.
