Nash Scores 19 in Derby Classic

Louisville, Ky. — Oklahoma State signee LeBryan Nash scored 19 points in a losing cause as his White team fell to the Gold team 126-122 at the 39th Annual Derby Festival Basketball Classic over the weekend. The Derby Classic is an all-star game which featured five McDonald's All-Americans among the 23 players who saw action in the game.
Nash started at forward for the White squad and scored his 19 points on 9-of-15 shooting from the floor and 1-of-2 from the charity stripe. He also grabbed six rebounds and dished out three assists in 22 minutes. Nash's 19 points were the second-most for his team.
Nash joins California All-Star point guard Cezar Guerrero (Bellflower, Calif. — St. John Bosco High School) and junior-college All-American center Philip Jurick (Chattanooga, Tenn. — Chattanooga State) as OSU's recruiting class for 2011.
