Toni Young Named Second-Team All-Big 12

IRVING, Texas - Oklahoma State sophomore Toni Young was named a second-team all-conference selection with the announcement of the 2010-11 Phillips 66 All-Big 12 Conference Women's Basketball Awards today by the league office.
The leading scorer for the Cowgirls this season, Young currently paces the Big 12 with 13 double-doubles and is tops among league players at 8.7 rebounds per contest. Additionally, she ranks seventh in the league with her 1.7 blocked shots per game.
Through 29 games, Young is averaging 15.1 points per game, which ranks 11th in the Big 12. She also has a pair of 30-point outings to her credit, including a career-high 31 points at Oklahoma last Wednesday.
The Del City, Okla., native set a new OSU single-game record earlier this season with her 22 rebounds at Missouri.
The Cowgirls will return to action on Tuesday in the first round of the Big 12 Championship in Kansas City. OSU will be the No. 11 seed and will face sixth-seeded Texas Tech at 7:30 p.m.
