Cowgirls Host Texas on Senior Night
Oklahoma State's women's basketball team (15-13 overall, 3-12 Big 12) will close out its regular season on Saturday at 7 p.m. when it hosts Texas (18-11, 7-8) on Senior Night. The Cowgirls are coming off an 81-66 loss at Oklahoma on Wednesday night. The contest will be the final home game for OSU seniors Lakyn Garrison and Precious Robinson.
OSU—Texas... The Series
After winning this year's first meeting in Austin, the Longhorns hold a 24-9 advantage in the overall series. Including that 63-56 contest, six of the last eight have been decided by seven points or less. OSU claimed a 73-72 overtime win a year ago in Stillwater. The Cowgirls have won three of the last four meetings in Gallagher-Iba Arena. However, UT holds a 9-5 advantage in Stillwater.
Scouting Texas
With its midweek win over Texas Tech, Texas snapped a three-game losing streak. UT comes to town sporting a 4-7 road record, including a 2-5 mark in Big 12 play. Texas has several players among the league leaders in several statistical categories. Chassidy Fussell ranks seventh among league players with her 17.0 points per game and Kathleen Nash is fifth at 7.8 rebounds per game. Yvonne Anderson enters the weekend as the league's top 3-point shooter at 45.6 percent and Ashley Gayle is second with her 3.6 blocks per game.
