OSU Track and Field Competes in Norman

NORMAN, Okla. – The Oklahoma State track and field program competed in the Sooner Invitational Saturday, highlighted by a pair of top finishes from Clarissa Andrews.
The senior jumper had the highest OSU finish of the meet when she placed second in the triple jump with a mark of 12.12 meters, as well as the second-best with her third-place long jump mark of 5.75 meters.
The next-best finish came from freshman Caitlin Way, who placed fourth in the weight throw with a personal-best mark of 15.98 meters.
Two athletes competed on the men's side, as Taylor Buck placed eighth in the high jump with a mark of 1.85 meters and Tyler Payton placed finished the 400 meters in 16th place with a time of 51.25 seconds.
Oklahoma State is scheduled to resume action at the 2011 Big 12 Indoor Track and Field Championships in Lincoln, Neb.
