Cowgirls Kaylie Politza and Isca Chelangat punch tickets to NCAA Outdoor Championships on final day of NCAA West First Round

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Oklahoma State women's outdoor track & field wrapped up action at the NCAA West First Round in Fayetteville, Ark., on Saturday, with a pair of Cowgirls advancing through to the NCAA Outdoor Championships.
Senior Kaylie Politza qualified for the NCAA Outdoor Championships in the 800 Meters for the second straight season with an eighth-place finish at the regional meet. Politza clocked a time of 2:01.87 and passed two women in the final 100 meters to secure her spot in Oregon.
Joining Politza in punching her ticket to nationals Saturday was sophomore Isca Chelangat in the 5,000 Meters. Chelangat placed third in her heat with a mark of 15:38.39 to secure an automatic qualifying spot to the national championships. She is also making her second career appearance at the NCAA Outdoor Championships, placing 15th in the 5,000 Meters in 2025.
The Cowgirl pair join Rachel Neaves and Burklie Burton, who advanced to the national championships Wednesday in the Hammer Throw. Senior Annie Molenhouse previously advanced in the Heptathlon as one of the top 24 scorers in the event this season.
