Donohoe Named Freshman of the Week

IRVING, Texas - Oklahoma State's Liz Donohoe has been named the Phillips 66 Big 12 Women's Basketball Freshman of the Week by a media voting panel for games from Nov. 28-Dec. 4 it was announced today by the league office.
The rookie forward helped the Cowgirls improve to 4-0 on the season with victories over Alcorn State and Indiana last week.
Against the Lady Braves, Donohoe scored five points and pulled down four rebounds. The Edmond, Okla., native followed that with a career-high and game-high 23 points in OSU's contest at Indiana to give the Cowgirls their first road win of the season. She hit 8-of-10 from the floor, including 4-of-5 from 3-point distance. All four of her 3-pointers came in the second half.
Donohoe hit 52.9 percent (9-of-17) from the field for the week, including 50 percent from 3-point rage (5-of-10).
She is the first Cowgirl to garner the league's rookie of the week honor since Danielle Green did it in March of 2007.
