• The Cowgirls will play for just the second time away from Stillwater this season when they take on Mississippi State in the first round of the Peppermill Holiday Classic in Reno, Nev. on Thursday at 6 p.m. (CST) inside the Lawlor Events Center.
• Depending on the outcome, the Cowgirls will face either Long Island or Nevada at 7 or 9 p.m. on Friday
• The Cowgirls improved to 7-0 in their last outing with a 98-35 win over Arkansas-Pine Bluff on Dec. 22.
• OSU is looking to start 8-0 for the second year in a row. Last year the Cowgirls won their first eight games of the season.
• 29 of OSU's 35 starts thus far have been made by freshmen and sophomores.
• The Cowgirls have never met any of the three other teams in the tournament.
Know The Foes
• Mississippi State has won its last two to improve to 9-2 on the year. The Lady Bulldogs last played on Dec. 19, a 72-38 victory at home over Louisiana-Lafayette. Eight of MSU's wins this year have come at home.
• Long Island rides a five-game winning streak into the event and stands at 10-2. LIU is 3-2 in road games and has yet to play at a neutral site thus far.
• Nevada enters play at 3-8 after losing at BYU on Dec. 22. The Wolf Pack is 3-2 at home this season.
UAPB Leftovers
• Sophomore Tiffany Bias matched her career high with 12 assists. Her production marked the third time this year she has logged 12 assists in a game.
• Bias also scored 12 points for her third double-double of the season.
• Freshman Liz Donohoe scored a career-high 27 points in the victory.
• The Cowgirls matched the school's single-game record with 14 3-pointers in the contest.
• OSU shot 50 and 52 percent in the first and second halves, respectively, of the game and 51 percent overall. The Cowgirls have now logged seven halves where they shot at least 50 percent. OSU has also shot at least 50 percent in three of its seven games.
